Over the last few weeks, a few things have caught my attention on TV and on the radio. Here are some things I have really liked lately.

Travelers Insurance has created something awesome. Don’t believe me? Watch the video. Still don’t believe me? Here’s some anecdotal evidence for you. At at time when advertisers are worried about TV viewers using DVR to skip through commercials, over the weekend my dad said he loved this commercial so much he wants to record it with DVR.

I was listening to some music tonight and I started thinking about some great songs that were never singles. You know, there are always a song or two on some of your favorite albums that most people just never talk about because they weren’t overplayed on the radio. And with winter setting in, my fiancee Janette decided to get me the gift of Blockbuster Online for Christmas so we could take full advantage of the Blu-ray player with freezing temperatures outside. We had discussed Netflix before, but we’d agreed that Blockbuster’s similar program had a great added benefit of in-store exchanges.
The gift was specifically …
